Orrefors designs blend timeless Swedish craftsmanship with modern elegance. Gunnar Cyrén designed the glasses for the Nobel Set for the 1991 Nobel Banquet. These elegant glasses continue to be used at the annual banquet and remain part of Orrefors’ current collection.
From the very beginning, Ulrica believed that everything could be painted—plates, glasses, jars—nothing was off-limits. Her home in Åfors, filled with hand-painted objects, reflected her playful, bold spirit. In the 1980s, her Caramba glass became a sensation, even featured on television, while her trophies captured her signature sassy, confident style—like lipstick and eyeliner on glass. By the 1970s, she began painting directly on the glass itself, sharing her art with the world. Her creations blur the line between art and utility: beautiful to behold, yet perfect for toasting. Friends Again Blue (2022) is a limited edition of 300.
